Miniature Inspiration

Before going out and shooting my last blog entry “Miniature Jackson Hole“, I was beyond inspired by Australian still photographer Keith Loutit. Loutit has created an amazing quiver of tilt shift miniature faking clips and posted them on vimeo. This clip titled “Metal Heart” is one of my personal favorites. His ability to take objects that are large and intimidating in real life and making them look like mere children’s toys using techniques that you would typically see most cinematographers shy away from (such as jumpy time lapses and over saturation) create a unique perspective of the world around us. His music choice is the icing on the cake. This song entitled “Robot High School” by My Robot Friend puts this video over the top as it currently sits very high on my list of favorites.
Enjoy!
